How can i check the Shift linkage on my 1985 Jaguar XJ6?
If i see the Reverse lights, dies that mean its Linkage-ing into Reverse?
Wont go Backwards, will go Forwards, No "Engine Braking"

no. reverse lights simply mean the switch in the transmission showing its in reverse is still functioning.
sounds like you've got an internal problem. most likely a bad syncro
