Is it possible that Daniel Bradshaw and Sydney are tampering with the draft?
Under the AFL rules Daniel Bradshaw might breaking the rules by placing a salary so high to deter other clubs from drafting him.
In my opinion it amounts to telling other clubs that he only wants to be drafted by Sydney. If I am correct then he is definitely breaking the AFL rules regarding the draft.
Below is a similar but true case that happened some time ago.
During the 90s a player called Brett Chalmers only wanted to be drafted by Collingwood subsequently he wrote to all the other clubs informing them of this. The AFL commission found out and fined him heavily and another punishment that I can't think of at this moment.
The point is both cases are similar but the Chalmers case didn't involve his potential salary.
What do you think of placers using this tactic to be drafted by the club of his choice?
I haven't heard of Bradshaw doing this...the only thing I have heard is that Sydney offered him a 3 year deal which he was happy to accept...I know Carlton spoke to his manager but I'm not sure Carlton wanted to offer the same as the Swans.
