Is it possible to have 4 wheel drive in an automatic vehicle?
This question may sound dumb, but I'm pretty sure it is possible.
I'm looking to buy an off-roading vehicle. I have my heart on a 2004 Black Chevy Blazer, 4WD, 2dr, zr2 suspension! But I can't find ANY for sale in my area! (online that is)....
I drive a ford taurus right now... it runs great and all, but it just isn't me.
I know the basics of driving manual.. but am not that experienced. I want a 4WD vehicle for mainly off roading, and definately in the winter time. Possibly even buy a plow?
There are to ZR2 blazers...........
Yes. there are a lot of 4x4's that are automatics.
Blazers are common to have automatics, so finding one should not be too difficult.
Be careful with the plow, that is a lot of weight on the front end, and also can trash the transmission. A heavy duty suspension and a tranny cooler should be mandatory on any plow vehicle, specially on compact suv's.
Lighter plows are available but are more expensive.
